GymOptic Explicit Consent
Effective date: May 14, 2026
This document explains the optional consent used for private features such as Progress Check-In, private progress photos, Volume Budget, Volume Monitor, and related local-only load insights that stay on your device.
1. Scope
- Private progress features are optional and are not required to use GymOptic core workout logging, history, cardio, routines, Hybrid Race, reports, account sync, or server-verified Pro features.
- This document explains the separate consent used for certain optional private progress and private load-insight features on your device.
2. Features Covered
- If enabled, this consent currently covers Progress Check-In and Progress Check-In Compare, including optional bodyweight, optional notes, and private Front / Side / Back progress photos.
- It also covers Volume Budget, Volume Monitor body-map highlights, and limited private load-insight presentation such as private System Load values shown on certain screens.
- These features are meant for private training progress tracking and personal review.
3. Data That May Be Used
- Your optional bodyweight entries and optional notes that you choose to log in Progress Check-In.
- Progress photos that you choose to store inside the app.
- Relevant recent training history used to generate private load-insight views such as Volume Budget, Volume Monitor, and private System Load displays.
- A local record of your consent choice and consent timestamp stored on your device so the app can remember your preference.
4. Local-Only Storage
- The optional private progress data covered by this consent stays on your device only.
- It is not uploaded to GymOptic servers as part of these optional private progress features and is not part of the standard synced workout dataset.
- These private progress check-ins and photos are not part of the standard cloud export dataset.
- If you intentionally create a local device export or full local backup, the local export may include progress check-in data such as bodyweight and notes, and a full local backup may also include the local progress photo files when available.
5. Product Boundary
- These features are product tools for training progress tracking and visualization.
- They are not medical advice, do not diagnose health conditions, and should not be relied on to assess injury risk, recovery, readiness, or medical status.
- They are not recovery scores, injury-risk assessments, readiness scores, medical recommendations, or health diagnostics.
- They are also not body-fat analysis, physique grading, or clinical monitoring tools.
6. Your Choice
- You do not need to enable this consent to use the core workout tracking functions of GymOptic.
- You can turn this consent on or off later from the Account screen.
- Turning this consent off later does not automatically delete existing local private progress data from your device.
- You can also delete related local private progress data separately from the Account screen.
7. Consent Statement
When you turn on Explicit Consent in the app, you explicitly consent to the app processing the data described in this document for the purpose of providing these optional private progress features on your device.
